Soy Pepper Chicken




Ingredients:

Boneless chicken-1/2 kg
Chopped onions- 3/4 cup
Oil-2 tbs
Ginger garlic paste-1 tbs
Green chilli sauce-1 1/2 tbs
Pepper powder-1 1/2 tsp
Soy sauce-1 tbs
Vinegar-2 tsp
Salt-As required
Tomato ketchup(divided into two parts)-1 tbs+1/2 tbs
Water-1/2 cup
Red food color-a pinch















Method:

Marinate the chicken with green chilli sauce, pepper powder, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, one tbs of ketchup, food color for almost 30 minutes in a wide bowl. In another pan pour oil, then put the onions , ginger garlic paste, the remaining ketchup and the marinated chicken. Mix it well, pour the water into it, cover the pan and cook  until the chicken becomes tender and it absorbs the water (you can drain the water if you find the chicken to be cooked). Garnish it with spring onions if desired. Serve it along rice or roti. It's a must try delectable dish.

Pineapple And Carrot Cake-Happy Valentine's Day !





 
Ingredients:

Canned pineapple-1 no
Grated carrots-1 cup
All purpose flour-2 cups
Confectionery sugar-1 1/2 cups
Oil-3/4 cup
Cinnamon powder-1 1/2 tsp
Eggs-2 nos
Vanilla essence-1 tsp
Baking soda-2 tsp
Salt-1 tsp
Raisins and nuts(walnut.almonds,hazelnuts)-1 cup



Method:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.Grease the cake pan with butter and flour the pan . The wet ingredients is prepared by beating the oil,sugar ,eggs and the vanilla essence  using an electric hand mixer .In an another bowl sift together the dry ingredients such as the flour,baking soda,cinnamon and the salt .Put the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients .Add the nuts and the raisins followed by pineapple and carrot .Bake for about one hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean .Later let the cake cool on a wire rack .Serve it after refrigerating for 30 minutes or so .As usual i did not do the frosting .Any kind of frosting can be done if desired. This surely is a keeper .
