Baby Corn Fritters-Congrats Team India !

World cricket itself has undergone some major changes. The countries produced some fantastic athletes over the decades who transformed the very nature of the game. India was trying hard to keep up to the pace of the changes. And with most of the World Cup-winning heroes retiring after the historic win in 1983, the team had to find new hopes and tread a whole new path. The captain of the indian team Mahendra Singh Dhoni proved his mettle on every major stage the game covets. Our very own little master Sachin is enjoying the victory and he is very much elated. Kudos to the indian team for bagging the prestigious world cup. India had to wait for 28 years to win the title for the second time. It is a great win and a dream come true. It sure is a victory to the entire nation. We had friends come over post the cricket world cup match, so i made this baby corn fritters as one of the starters which was liked by everyone a lot.

Ingredients:

Baby corn-20 nos
All purpose flour-3/4 cup
Corn flour-2 tsp
Garlic paste-2 tsp
Baking soda-a pinch
Buttermilk-1 cup
Paprika(optional)-3/4 tsp
Chilli powder-2 tsp
Salt-As required
Oil-As required
Water-As required

Method :

Boil the baby corn in water with a pinch of salt for 5 to 10 minutes. After that slit the baby corn vertically and set it aside. Make a batter with the all purpose flour, baking soda, garlic paste, corn flour, paprika, buttermilk, chilli powder and salt. Heat the oil in a skillet, now dip the baby corns in the batter and fry them in the oil . Drain the excess oil in the baby corn by placing them on paper towels. Luscious looking baby corn fritters are ready to serve either with ketchup or hot sauce.
