First Year Blog Anniversary -Thanks everyone !!!

Today September 25th "San's Kitchen " turns ONE year. Phewww Time Flies. It has been exactly one year  since i posted my first blog post and shared the first recipe with you. I can hardly believe that my beloved blog is now one year old! Since then, my life has changed so much. This blog has introduced me to a whole new world of cooking and photography. I had no idea how many wonderful friends i would meet and how much i would learn. I have met so many wonderful people throughout this year. Ingredients :
For the pretzel dough:

Yeast-1 tbs
Sugar-1 tbs
Salt-1 tsp
Unsalted butter-2 tbs
Warm water-1 cup
All purpose flour-3 cups

For Carbonated water dip:-mixed together to dissolve
Baking soda-2 1/2 tbs
Warm water-4 cups

To dust and flavor:
Parmesan cheese
Cinnamon mixed with sugar
Salt
Garlic and herb


Pretzels
Method:

Preheat the oven to 450 degree F. Mix together the dough ingredients and knead to a soft dough but not sticky. Leave it to rise for 1 hour. Divide dough into 8 or 10 pieces. Grease a board or table top with a little oil. Roll out each piece of dough into long ribbon about 2 1/2 ft. Then hang the rope dough and make a twist and end up the end onto the center of ring. Dip each pretzel into carbonated water just to wet it and then arrange on a greased tray. For individual flavor, you can sprinkle parmesan cheese or course salt or cinnamon mixed with sugar on top. Leave for 1/2 hour. Bake the pretzels for 7 to 10 mins till golden. Brush them with butter to make it shinning. Serve it hot  .

Mini Pizzas:

You can use the same pretzel dough for the pizza crust (avoid dipping in the carbonated water). Roll them into small circle crusts, spread the pizza sauce and add your favorite toppings on top of it which would result in absolutely delicious  pizzas anyone will long for.




Italian Pizza Sauce Recipe :

Ingredients:

Crushed tomatoes-5 nos
Tomato paste(4 oz)-1 can
Sugar-2 tsp
Chopped onion-1 tbs
Minced garlic-1 tbs
Chopped fresh basil-1 tbs
Olive oil-1 tbs
Dried oregano-2 tsp
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Salt-As required
Pepper-As required

Method:

Saute the garlic and the onions in the olive oil for few minutes and add the other ingredients except the basil. Simmer the sauce for about 15-20 minutes. Add the chopped basil 5 minutes before the sauce is ready. If during the simmering, the sauce becomes too thick, add some water. Let it cool down a little bit before spreading it on the pizza crust .
